Class sessions are 8 weeks and meet once a week for 60 minutes each week

(Student teacher ratio is 6 to 1)

JUNIOR PERFORMANCE PROGRAM

Level 1 - An introduction to the game of golf and Fitness. Students will learn putting, chipping, pitching, full swing, rules & etiquette. Fitness basics will include proper warm-up, body control, balance & Stability. Successful completion of a putting evaluation is required to move to Level 2.

No experience or clubs required.

 

Level 2 -  Students will learn full swing, putting, chipping, rules & etiquette. Fitness training will include warm-up, separation of upper and lower body, stability, agility and speed. Successful completion of short game evaluation is required to move to Level 3.

 

Pre-requisite: Exposure to the game of golf or have completed Level 1.

 

Level 3 - Students will fine tune their swings with the introduction of ball flight laws. Focus for this class will be on short game shots around the green. Pitch shots, chipping, and bunkers. Fitness will include warm-up routine, body control, balance, stability, agility, speed, and striking.

Successful completion of short game evaluation is required to move to Level 4.

 

Pre-Requisite: Successful completion of Level 2.

 

Level 4 - Majority of class will be spent on the golf course playing golf shots and learning how to score. Emphasis is to learn how to play golf at a high level and prepare for tournaments and high school golf. Students will have warm-up routine, be able to separate upper and lower body, balance, stability, agility, speed, striking, core strength, and visualization.

 

Pre-Requisite: Successful completion of Level 3.

 

Level 5 - Focus is on becoming an overall great player. Shot making and course management. Individual fitness assessment and workout routines.

 

Pre-Requisite: Instructor Approval.

 

**Make Up Policy**

Students will be permitted to make up 2 missed class sessions by attending another class during the same 8 week session. Please check with instructor for available times.

SKILLS CAMP AGES 7-17

Due to this unique time, and "new normal" that we find ourselves in, our summer camps will be ran a little bit differently for 2020. We have re-designed our Summer Camps to fit the needs of our campers, and keep everyone safe and healthy. We are offering small group, Skills Camps throughout the summer at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club. These new Skills Camps are designed for all ability levels, and will cover all aspects of the game from putting, chipping, pitching, full swing, course management, golf fitness, and rules & etiquette. We are confident that we can adhere to the safety guidelines to assure the safety and well being of our students, coaches, and facility workers. By practicing social distancing with our student to coach ratio being 4:1, this will help create more space between everyone, and allow for more individualized coaching at the same time. Please contact us with any questions, concerns, or feedback as this uncertain times for all of us.

-Camp is Monday through Friday  from 8am - 11am.

-You will be responsible for coming with your own set of golf clubs, and snacks if needed.

-Student teacher ratio is 4 to 1. The maximum amount of kids per camp will be 8 students.

ELITE PLAYERS CAMP

South County Golf Academy is holding Elite Player Summer Camps, Dedicated Practice at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club. These sessions are designed to help elite level golfers to take their game to the next level in a small, but competitive atmosphere. Instruction will include detailed swing analysis, short game and putting improvement, golf fitness, mental toughness, and course management. Each student will walk away from camp with personalized tips and drills for their game improvement. These Elite Players Camps will be a great way to get athletes educated about their games, and learning a specified practice routine that is tailored to their specific needs. The student to coach ratio is 4:1 to insure that personalized attention can be given to each student.
